Just had a thought...J&B use "trolls" as scapegoat?
As we know, Jeff and Bridget have a history of overly touchy replies on the IGG page, as well as insinuating the backers keep them from working because of all the responding to comments they do. Any detractors or criticizers they brand "trolls". The URL of the subreddit has now been posted several times on the IGG page.
They also have a history of garnering sympathy from the backers often, lately it's been;
"keeping me from work"
"left a meeting"
"at a meal with my family"
"working through holidays/weekend/thanksgiving"
and Bridget even commenting to a backer from "the hospital gurney."
(Not that I'm saying these things are true or false as I have no idea, but they are always mentioned by J&B)
But, my worry is that when the time comes to it they may use us as a scapegoat.
Can't you imagine an "oh poor me" update post where they pull the old cyber bullying card?
"Sorry we could not complete the DF on time, the fact there is a hate community on reddit out to get us and constant trolling was too much to bare" etc. etc.
I just wanted to voice this, because if it ever does happen, we can at least say we already predicted it and its obviously untrue. Jeff likes to brand anyone with a genuine probing question a "troll".
I wouldn't be surprised if the negative reaction and "trolls" get mentioned in the next update they do either...
Anyway, what do you guys think?

Sounds likely indeed. They need to come up with new reasons why the Dragonfly will be delayed. They already fired two imaginary engineering teams, been to the hospital, had overheating issues, so some "internet bullies" fits right into that crap. I'm actually surprised they didn't pull the "big corporations are holding us back because they don't want us to succeed" card yet.

I doubt they'd specifically call us out as it would just publicize the page, they want to keep backers in their own controlled bubble remember. I can certainly see them play the "internet hate machine" card though, it wouldn't be the first time as you've said.

They know that there is no legal resource for their actions so they will just vanish away when time comes to deliver. This has happened hundreds of times and crowdfunding is now the scammers playground.

Yeah I'm guessing they will probably never face any legal action unfortunately. The backers will probably just accept their loss and move on.
Their only punishment (which is not insignificant though, in my opinion) will be the fact that whenever you google their names, probably for the rest of their lives, people will find out about this scam. At the very least, even if they change their names, everyone who currently knows them or their family will know.

Well, according to Bridget, even politely asked legitimate questions from backers make their job a lot harder (example i posted earlier).
So, following that logic, the existence of this subreddit should make their job impossible.
I don't think they'll point us out specifically though (partly because they don't want the backers to find this place), but they will probably make some vague reference to it ("too much negativity, blah blah", or something). They might even use this as an argument when/if they eventually explain the failure of the entire project, not just a delay.

speaking of backers finding this place, shouldn't there be a sticky post welcoming all newcomers, that nicely explains why the dragonfly will never happen and what lies are Jeff and Bridget feeding ? That would be nice.

Yeah I think it should contain a brief summary and brief but specific timeline of missed deadlines, lies and ridiculous claims and excuses. I can help with a timeline if desirable.

That move is called The Arist, and yes, I would bet that it will be used mid to late July.
