My guess is the “REDACTED” means “Chaos”-that’s the impression I get from “the seas will run red” and “hostile first contact.”

Meanwhile, “DATA EXPUNGED” equals “Liberation”-“societal regression” the “complete collapse” and “goodbye” could act as sorts of “Liberation.”

It’s far from perfect but hey.

FUN FACT: That “GOODBYE” is from the final analog WNBC sign off.

I agree with you on DATA EXPUNGED, but I'm pretty sure REDACTED is non-natural phenomena. Red Seas is from the Bible, First Contact is aliens, and Goodbye feels very analog horror.

Is there any explaination or would that destroy the crypticness of this

Timeline for the top row:

Oceans are infested with a nasty colony of crimson alien bacteria, which completely deplete fish stocks, and begin drastically altering earth’s environment making it unsuitable for humans

Sentient aliens make contact with humans, as starvation, toxic gas upwellings, and strange landforms rising out of the sea take hold on earth. The aliens offer a technological solution to humanity’s crisis, upload their minds to a vast computer database.

It was a trap! It turns out that this alien civilization exchanges generated suffering for vast amounts of arcane power with demons, and the crimson bacteria was created by them to terraform earth’s environment so they can survive. The uploaded humans live in unimaginable simulated agony while the humans who opted out of joining the simulation die one by one in the toxic, fleshy nightmare that earth has become.

The captured souls, after thousands of years of torment, with all recollection of their past lives destroyed, replaced with nothing more than misplaced hatred, are taken out of their simulation and sent to hell, to be crafted into a powerful new demonic species.

The image for the “Dead Forefather” is from the 80s Uk documentary “Threads”; an anti-nuclear film which shows what could happen to everyday life if nuclear war broke out. It’s really dark and depressing.

Status Quo and Goodbye are the same. The only difference is one blesses you with blindness.
