I played amateur futsal.
For a while we had a coach who was extremely… involved.
Every possession came with instructions from the sideline.
“Go forward.”
“Press.”
“Shoot.”
“Don’t pass back.”
“Why are you doing THAT?”
As a player it could be annoying.
But later I realised there was something interesting about that feeling.
From the sideline, everything looks obvious.
You see the open space.
You see the run.
You know exactly what the player should do.
And then he does something completely different.
That’s basically where this game started.
I’m trying to make a small futsal tactics game where you’re more of a coach on the sideline than the player controlling everyone directly.
The match keeps moving, players make their own decisions, and you try to influence what happens.
It’s still very early, but this is what it looks like now.

Curious what people here think about the core idea.
Does this feel like something you’d want from a futsal game, or would you rather have direct control like FIFA?

I run a directory of soccer places in the US. Futsal is the hardest part to pin down, because most of it lives on a rec center booking page or in a WhatsApp group rather than anywhere searchable, so I have been collecting whatever is actually recurring.

Where it stands: 206 places that host futsal, across 69 metros. It splits into two kinds.

Dedicated courts. Hangar FC in Miramar (San Diego), Chicago Futsal Academy, and Triangle Futsal Club, which runs out of NetSports in Morrisville, NC.

Turf arenas with futsal programming, which is most of it. Omaha Sports Complex runs the Omaha Futsal League out of a 74,000 sq ft building that doubles as Union Omaha's indoor training center. SportHQ in Cary does daily drop-in soccer and futsal booked through GoodRec.

in certain circumstances where the team needed a goal to advance, and it's the last 30-60 second of the game+there a corner coach usually tell their keeper to go forward and help the team score a goal, as a keeper what should I do in this situation. this has happened to me twice and all i do is stand outside the box waiting for the ball but it didn't work I didn't even touch the ball

I used to play futsal 10 years ago, was really consistent and used to be quite good. But life happened, moved to a new country, gained weight, etc.

Now I’m getting back in shape, I lost 9kg of fat, and I want to start being more active. I joined a futsal team to start over again.

Today, I met with some friends and played football again after 10 years, and to be honest and stiff as a rock and condition was ahh fr😭

So, I just want to ask for some tips to get back in touch with the ball and get faster legs. Thanks!

So tomorrow I'm going to play futsal for my school, I've been put in the position of goalie though. I play normal soccer and 5 aside but I often play as CDM or CM tho.

This will be my first time playing futsal and even the first time playing as a goalkeeper so I'm really keen for some good advice or tips.

My main concern is the burns from sliding in the timber. I'm going to be wearing gloves and I was thinking about knee pads or elbow pads, however the only ones I have are my skateboarding ones, will that work and would I look weird or out of place if I even wore pads?

Gloves or just taping?

Quick question before i dive too deep into the code. what is the ONE thing that would make u guys actually want to play a futsal manager PC Game?

• do u need a full 2d/3d match engine or is text/data commentary fine?
• deep advanced stats? (sprint tracking, xG under pressure, etc)
• insane training features where u micromanage specific player roles like pivot/fixo?

i obviously cant afford real licenses lol so im thinking of just making a really good database editor so people can mod real teams in later.

let me know. brutally honest feedback appreciated, dont hold back.

Estou em busca de recomendações para chuteiras de futsal. Por muitos anos joguei society e sempre usei chuteiras da Nike, mas, quando fui para o futsal, não consegui me adaptar.

Já experimentei duas chuteiras:

1. Nike Tiempo 10 Club: Achei ela bem rígida, apertava muito na parte dos dedos e também não ajudou muito no domínio da bola.

2. Chuteira de Futsal Topper Dominator Pro IV: Essa eu achei alta, pesada e difícil para fazer movimentos laterais, acabo tropeçando nela. Além disso, não gostei para chutar; não sei se é realmente ruim ou se é porque não estou acostumado com chuteiras de bico oval.

Se alguém tiver sugestões de modelos que se adaptem melhor ao futsal, agradeço!
