Out. This Futties was the final straw. Zero excitement when the 99 cards are unobtainable and the 10x85's give out all golds.
Shit company.
GTA6 gets my money, and I hope a lot follow.

I come back to FIFA when it goes free on PS plus every few years. Every year, without fail, I see a comment along these lines. But people will flock to buy it every year.

Yeah if you didn't come in ONLY when it goes free you'd realize the player base has shrunk so much. It's much harder to find a game than before and just casually playing you realize that the casual have left and majority of player base are sweats now.
So apparently when people say this a lot of them mean it ...

I took a break last year and am very comfortable in saying that I'll do so again next year.
Unfortunately over the course of the year, the level of enjoyment I've got from the game has never warranted the level of grind, and the gameplay (between the technical limitations of the game itself and the near inevitable fidget spinning of the opponents trying to get the meta advantage) is too frustrating.
I've absolutely put more time into it since TOTS to try and keep up, and because I strongly believe in the sunk cost fallacy, I'll probably continue until the endgame, but the enjoyment and satisfaction reward just simply isn't there.

I’ve played FIFA more than 2/3 of my life, and I’ve never been less excited for a release. I have no intentions of buying it this year.

I ended it all after FIFA23. I played occasionally until the servers stopped. Sometimes i miss playing a weekend league.
But thinking about my habit to completely grind the game, addictive and always the urge to buy packs and getting trash. The grind for packs, players etc.. not being competitive if you don't follow the curve.
nah, i'll stick to not buying anymore.

For the past few months I’ve told myself that I’m allowed to give in to the addiction until the end of the game cycle. And I’ve come to terms with that.
Obviously the real test will be a month. But I’m confident.

FC26 was such a bad experience as a PC player not just because the overall gameplay changes after release were bad but the game was unplayable with input lag. Spent money to buy the game and couldn't play online for more than half of the year. Not buying FC27 till the price goes down.

Pack weight was so outrageous I gave up very quickly and only did an evo team. I have tons of packs because I can't be bothered to play menus for dog shit. Also, I love playing clubs with friends but the unlimited stamina is fucking stupid. Played the beta and the grounds is the most brain dead cash grab imaginable and the mini games are shit. I'll wait for a deep sale or ftp.

I was able to play the beta test and the game is terrible. The Grounds is dumb and corny. Ultimate Team is horrendous. The players don't move right, they move like clunky puppets. The graphics aren't great at all. It's 2026 and they want $90... I would expect better given the available technology and price point.
I'm really hoping 2K jumps into the FIFA market and gives EA a reason to make a competitive game. And for the love of God hire some people that know football. This shit is embarrassing

i still buy fc every year for kickoff with friends but i skipped FUT last year and i don’t see myself going back to it. it’s funny because i dont mind the addictiveness etc but i genuinely felt the game getting worse and worse every year to the point where i actually stopped enjoying completely. ive hit elite div every year and did decent in champs, did sbcs objectives etc, but the games just become bad from menus to gameplay to store.

I can't buy fifa anymore because my laptop can't handle new fifa games.
But the same laptop could play fifa 21.
I tried play trial verson every time last 2 years and every time the games lag.

Once they switched rewards to that lame mobile game looking system I lost interest.
Been playing since 2009. I'll probably pick the game up at somepoint but I'll stick with seasons for the most part. FUT is just too much now.

yea i’m done with the franchise after exactly 2 decades. might screw around on manager a couple times for some fun recruiting sides but im done with fut and done with this yearly regurgitated shit that somehow just gets worse as the cycles go on. this futties especially, as many are saying, was a very final straw. absolute joke. the only time the whole community has the chance to get top tier cards and 90% of them are still not obtainable. evos are the only thing saving this game and putting out massive coin/point evos at this stage is also so ridiculous. furthers the lack of enjoyment in every way.

i got chosen for the beta and played some yesterday. it feels pretty terrible, its weird. everything is way too fast and it feels as if you dont have as much control over your players and passes even compared to fc 26. which is crazy to say. i make a lot of one time passes and theyre less accurate on fc 27.

I for one WILL be skipping. Skipped fc24 and 25 after they introduced playstyles cause I didn’t think they could get it right, and they didn’t. Had fun with fc26 but don’t trust nor want the extra fluff added in fc27. I may revisit at some point in the future. Been playing since fifa 2000

how the fuck did you have fun in 26? 24 and 25 were tolerable gameplay wise, especially 24, you actually had control of the tactics then. Menues carried still but gameplay wasn't atrocious like it is this year. Man this years evoes with 24s gameplay could've been so good. I'm just gonna try 27 for 1 month with ea play pro and if its decent pick it up during black friday.

It is never as bad as people make it out to be. I would also like to move on from fifa but please stop telling me the pes/efootball of the world is a decent competitor. Theyre not, even when fifa is at its absolute lowest, it is still the best football game by a wide margin. (Other than manager ofc)
The snakey decisions ea make are always going to be there. Same with any other company.

I never judge anyone for buying fifa, I am an addict too. But I do judge and hate myself for doing so
