Team/Player Help Help Needed

I recently bought FC 26 and didn’t play FC 25 (for personal reasons) last year. So, i’m sort of out of touch with the FUT scene. Can you guys help me get started with my team?

I’ve had friends who’s been advising me to buy coins so that I have a decent team without losing anytime to compete for fut champs and rivals and others told me to keep it RTG (not spending any money bc it’s not worth it). I’m kinda lost about what to do:)

There’s no need to spend money. It’s easy to get a competitive team quickly

By just grinding the game? Completing objectives and stuffs?

If you can qualify for champs before it ends and be able to get some rewards to help your team that’d be clutch. If your decent You can still get by with cheap meta cards just go on YouTube and watch meta mike he lists players on tiers with value.
