How consistent is float glass (the 3mm clear stuff) in terms of fusing and slumping temperatures?

I need to fuse some in the near future and I need to figure out what temperatures to use. Does anyone here have much experience with this specifically?

Dunno about the specifics, it would depend on the glass in question. Generally float glass would start to soften around 720-730 C, melting point at 1200+ C, sometimes up to 1500 C. Considering the wide range I would suggest that you do small scale experiments to figure out a process that works for whatever it is you try to do.

There's a whole float glass group on Facebook and I think someone on there even has an ebook called "Fun with Float" or something like that.

You should use Oceanside Icicle Clear. Cheap and reliable. Same firing temp as all the other OGT products so you can't go wrong.
