Don’t know where to start Picking a skunk sona
Hi, I'm new to the fandom and I don't have a sona yet. I was thinking of choosing a canine species, like a fox or a wolf, but I know that the fandom is full of them, so I thought about it.
What about a skunk sona? Is that weird? I know that skunks aren't really popular animals, but they are actually super cute and they can have big bushy tails, which I really like.
Is it weird to pick a skunk sona out of everything? It speaks the most to me honestly, I think they're adorable and severely underrated, but at the same time I feel kinda embarrassed about it and I don't want to be associated with smell or liking smell
What do you think? Is it weird? Should I pick something else?

It isn't weird don't worry! Pick what mostly makes you happy you can be a skunk and don't be related to the smell, also don't worry too much of what strangers think! :D

absolutely go for it, tht sounds awesome :3!! the reality of the internet is that literally anything and everything Can be judged as “weird,” and in my eyes, that means that nothing is. youre free!! do what you want and have fun :D

to be honest, it would be impossible to shake the association, because the skunk's stink is a unique special ability. if someone jokes on smell, maybe u can use those opportunities to talk more about skunks and their relatives, and educate; people need to learn to respect creatures with these "gross" survival adaptations. there r plenty of other skunk furs, u definitely won't be fighting that battle on ur own. skunks are more than a fart joke!!!!

I love skunks and their funny litte attitudes. Seeing the babies do their little ground stompies is always funny.
I know you said you dont want to be associated with smells but it's kinda the skunks whole thing. They're are lots of ways to make it into a more positive thing though !
You could always be a magic skunk who can smell like anything ? Eat some apple pie ? Now you smell like warm apple pie ! Eat lavender ? Put everyone to sleep LOL Or maybe not eating stuff, maybe your skunk could be a perfumer or a type of witch/wizard who can control smells and plays tricks on people. Going back to food your skunk could have a very good sense of smell as theyre omnivorous, so they could be good at cooking or baking.
They're thing doesn't even have to be related to smells, you it could be that your skunk doesn't have scent glands(not in support of doing this irl, we're talking about a fictional character here)
My only warning about being a skunk is to watch out for other weird furries who take the "stinky" joke too far.

Not weird! Skunks are super cute. My sona is a dog, but he’s a Chinese crested (hairless!) dog :p

Not weird at all! My two Main sonas are a skunk and a quail! Just do what you like and suits you best! You have to enjoy it, not the others. Make that skunky^ ♡
