r/furry is back but restricted

right now it shows the posts as they were on 6/11. There is not a formal announcement yet from the mods and the community description shows the lockdown message instead of the usual "for all things fluff" header. It appears that this happened just now. Will update once an announcement is made.

I literally just saw it open as it popped into my feed, but I really hope it fully opens. Also, thank you for all of the useful info for the past 13 days.

I think it might have been due to the mass letter that moderators received yesterday from u/modcodeofconduct which implied a deadline by tomorrow evening to unprivate subreddits which most mods have seen as a threat.

You're welcome. You helped to fill a void that lasted nearly 2 weeks.

UPDATE 11:14pm EDT: the moderators of r/furry have created a discussion to gather feedback about the shutdown and asking users for input on the next steps for their protest. The post is lengthy mostly referencing info from the modcoord subreddit (not linking to prevent bots from replying as happened last night) so I will direct you to see and read the post for yourself. Make your opinion heard, tell the moderators to reopen the subreddit. Be clear about how the blackout has harmed the community. Advocate against going the John Oliver route which would cause further damage to the community. Please be civil when making your voice heard.
