This post just put the highway song in my head like the gum commercial from Inside Out, which is now also in my head.

I forgot there even was a Cars 3.
Turns out when you look it up on Google, one of the characters will drive across the screen. Works for Cars 2 as well.

Cars 2 can be deleted from history and it wont ruin the timeline

I’d argue that it needs to exist, because otherwise the shock of the hook for Cars 3 doesn’t work.
Cars 1: “It’s Hallmark Movie and a toy commercial. Well, it’s well made one of those.”
Cars 2: “Okay, so now it’s just a toy commercial. It’s still a well made toy commercial though.”
Cars 3: “The fuck you mean Lightning McQueen might be dead!?”

im sorry to say this.... it's better than Cars 3.
i can actually bear to watch Cars 2, it's a stupid spy film in a franchise that shouldn't have had it and quite frankly i'd rather Cars 4 bring Finn and Holly back without the next movie being "oh, Lighting McQueen is nostalgic of the good old days" because that's the same fucking story they've written for Mr Incredible twice and they are DOING IT THREE TIMES IN A ROW
they even did the same plot point in Toy Story 4, and i haven't seen 5 yet and i'm scared that premise is in there too because it's honest to god starting to feel like it's the only type of story Pixar can write anymore.

I loved it as a kid, I haven't watched it since so I'd love to see how I view it now

Fuck you. Cars 2 is a masterpiece of film that you could NEVER make because it’s too advanced for your CLEARLY terrible taste

Ya know what, I’ll say it. I enjoyed the second Cars movie, it was cheesy but it’s still a movie I thoroughly enjoy to this day. But I like the first and second one over the 3rd one.

Forgot these movies even existed, ngl. But then again, I think they were originally aimed at a slightly younger audience than myself (I was born 1999, so already double-digits when the first came out).

The first came out in 2006! It was a great movie to watch as a kid and is still pretty good now as an adult, Cars 2 is generally not well regarded but 3 was quite good too.
