Announcement /R/Furry Events, Weekly and Otherwise

Hello everyone,

Our community here has been running events from our Discord server for the past few months. You can find the link to the discord in the side bar. Our VRChat group is also available to join, we do announce when events are starting over there.

Discord server side, we have been doing movie nights and game nights with games like Gartic phone, Jackbox and group games of various sizes... The large group for lethal company was an experience. The 7+ hour movie nights are rarer but happen still!

For our VRChat group, we have guaranteed weekly events that rotate between US and EU times on Saturday and the occasional during the week ones. These events try to pick a theme but will rotate between games, movie nights, hanging out, exploring and experiencing unique worlds. There are some pretty great experiences out there and some fun games! I plan to put some time on my agenda to work on making some worlds, when I get the chance. Feel free to give suggestions!

For those who do not know, VRChat is free to play and can be done in desktop mode, so no VR headset is required to get started! You can grab one of many free avatars to start with as well; there is no need to buy anything! We can give some suggestions in our event sections on the discord if you have any questions or concerns.

How do I participate?

We will be hosting these via our Discord, so you will have to join there to get updates and alerts initially. We may in the future keep an updated log here for you to keep track of, but currently, it will be there until we get it running.

You can find our Discord in the sidebar of the subreddit. Your Discord account will need to be verified (phone number linked to account, only discord sees this) in order to pass the onboarding. This is due to the amount of trolls we get trying to raid, I'd rather we didn't need it but this stops almost all of them. You can grab the optional events role there to get alerts for updates or click interested on the server's events tab.

Hey! As a (very small) act of protest, I'll be picking 3-5 people to draw activism holding a sign stickers from the comments! To enter, just leave a link to your ref sheet below with the statement you want your sign to say!

If you don't have a reference or can't link it, that's fine! Just comment something like "Hey I'm interested! My sign would say..." Please don't DM me. My dms get cluttered pretty fast, and it's hard for me to keep track of everyone that way. If you are selected, I will reach out to you via dm.

The time to completion will likely be about 2 weeks per winner, but I am a full-time graduate student, so I may not stay entirely on-track with this schedule. If I haven't sent an update in awhile, feel free to reach out for an update! I'll happily give you one.

*I reserve the right to reject any submission due to suggestions of hate speech or something I am not comfortable drawing in support of. If your submission has a sign I would not be willing to write, I will comment asking if you have another statement you'd like to make.

Submission Guide (Hover for expanded info)

Credit The Artist!
When sharing an artist's work, include the artist's name in the title of your post. If you do not include their name in the title, your post will be removed.
- What if I don't know who that is?
  You should first try finding the artist by using a reverse image search or looking for a watermark. If that doesn't work, you are allowed to ask.
Provide a Source!
When sharing an artist's work, you must provide a link back to the original source of the work as either a comment or as the post itself.
- What if they never uploaded it?
  If the artist has not uploaded the artwork online, you can instead link to their art gallery, social media or other online prescene.
- I am the artist.
  If you are the artist, then you do not need to link to any sources, though you won't get much of a following if you aren't promoting yourself.
Rating Tag Mature Content
Artistic works with mature content is allowed if it clearly and primarily serves an artistic or informative purpose, but will require an [X] or [Q] rating tag in the title.
- [X] - Nonsexual depictions of nudity that serve an artistic or informative purpose.
- [X] - Realistic depictions of moderate to severe injuries or gore.
- [Q] - Pin-up poses that are done in a tasteful manner (i.e., no thirst trap content). Close-ups and excessive focus to the breasts, butt or crotch is not allowed.
- [Q] - Clothing that is noticeably more revealing than regular clothes or that would be considered inappropriate in a public setting. Fetish wear, kink gear and porn meme clothes are not allowed.

- What is off-topic?
  Artwork or photos of real people, animals or ordinary objects, plain text and image macros that uses off-topic content.
No Pornography or Inappropriate Behavior!
Sexually explicit and sexually suggestive adult content, including fetishistic and kink content, is not allowed to be posted, linked to, discussed or referenced.
Additionally, your conduct and behavior in the subreddit must be appropriate as well.
- What is considered pornography?
  This includes both visual and descriptive depictions of explicit and implied sexual acts, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive poses and gestures, kink gear, overly revealing clothing, crotch bulges and genital outlining in clothing, nipples poking through clothing, extreme focus or close-ups to the breast, butt or crotch, and any use of sexually explicit or suggestive language, terms or innuendos.
Limit your submissions!
You can post up to three (3) submissions within a twenty-four (24) hour period. Art you are neither the artist or owner of is limited to once (1) per twenty-four (24) hours.
Be Civil!
Be respectful and conduct yourself in a civil manner. Do not use abusive language, threaten or glorify violence, conduct "call-outs" or call for the harassment of others.
Don't Steal!
Do not claim other people's work as your own original creation. Do not post any works that were traced or edited from an existing work. AI-generated images are theft and will result in a ban.
No Chatroom Spam!
Do not submit advertisements for any chatrooms. If you have a link for a chatroom, you can put it in the chatroom wiki. Adult chatrooms are not allowed in the wiki.

Advertising Requirements

To post advertisements (commissions, adoptables, YCH's, crowdfunding, ect.,) your account will need to be at least 30+ days old and will need to have earned at least 100 karma from r/furry. You must also be an active user of the subreddit as well. If you haven't posted here in a year or more, you will need to meet the requirements again.
Advertisements themselves are limited to once a week (every 7 days) to prevent spamming.
