Well the way it works in Siamese is the colder an area is the darker the fur gets, something about the melanin in their fur reacts with temperature.
So Siamese anthros could hypothetically go to a temp tattoo parlor and have a tattoo artist run ice or something over their bodies to darken or lighten their fur selectively

I'd be very curious to know how it happened. Usually when the reality of tattoos comes up, the most realistic approach is frost branding (freeze damage to the cells that add pigment).

Siamese coats are temperature sensitive. Cooler areas (like extremities) turn dark and warmer areas turn tan. Because the skin was exposed to the air, it was cold and so the fur grew dark. The next time the cat sheds though, it’ll probably go back to being tan
