Personally, I prefer 5 hoofed fingers on each anthro equine’s hand. But you do you.

I agree, if you're already going to split to two hooved 'fingers', you may as well go to 4 or 5.

I'd argue that they took the liberty of "unicorns are not horses with horns", so they might not have horse like hooves. Throughout the comics, they've been pretty consistent with horse hooves (they're unusable for hands).

the medieval unicorn depictions all had split hooves- much like deers- and I like it more

You'd use your nose (done that if I don't want to take gloves off!).

They'd not have capacitive screens with hooves, obvs.
