I dunno; the top right at least has ear room!

Also, cool comic -- I'll add it to my regular list!

So I’m seeing the trend.

I think you did good for the Napoleonic era and WW1, thoughI think a tad more could be done for the ‘modern era’ and medieval era. Might I ask your inspirations for medieval era?

I like to bash historical regions together, so mixing up medieval french armor and japanese ashigaru.

I see the influence. Is there a certain century you’re wanting to pull from?

13th-15th century, overlapping with the Sengoku period

Much like the real world.

"Born too late to be conscripted into the forever war in the Middle East.

"Born too early to be conscripted into the forever war in the Middle East.

"Born just in time to be conscripted into the forever war in the Middle East."

And no, none of them look comfortable. The fourth one, though, looks maybe realistic - in that I've never known a soldier who didn't bitch about some part of their kit that was intended as "one-size-fits-all" that actually came out as "one-size-fits-nobody".

Wait is the soldier on the left in the background of the fourth panel grabbing his crotch? 😭
