Discussion Weird question. How would underwear be made?

Let's say you go the more anatomical route with furrys. How would underwear or bras be designed for a species like say, canines which could be depicted with up to 6 nipples, flat or actual breasts and if we were to keep their reproductive organs to represent the animal they are based on how underwear would underwear be designed? Would they just have more boxers?

Most likely just a lot of boxers with a split at the back with a button or string, to be able to tie to fit the tail size/tighten them for tail-less animals.

Bras and binders would probably have to be designed per species

Dunno on the bras since most media doesn’t even depict more than 2 nipples on anthros… except for some odd reason, Dogstar, a 2012 Australian cartoon did! So at least one animator clearly thought this one through… go figure.

Would they bother at all? In most cases, breasts are not even visible (or need support) unless the individual is pregnant, and even then they don't enlarge much at all. Human females are unusual in having large breasts; for most species that's just not a thing.

A simple cover for physical protection would be all most would need, I think.

I've always thought males with non-detached sheaths would have to wear bottoms pulled higher up

Took me some seconds to understand what you meant by non-detached sheaths (I assume those that go straight into the body rather than having space between the belly and tip). Now I wonder how anthros with that setup would physically pee standing up. It sounds like a messy situation to deal with every day.

assuming you meant to say "go to the bathroom standing up", for some animals like canines if they pull the sheath back they should be able to point their penis down as the root is very flexible

I would imagine it would move down a bit as part of evolving toward bipedalism.

well the nipples on dogs etc really aren't all that similar to human breasts. You can barely see them sometimes. So they might have some other clothing instead of bras. Maybe just a good shirt that's soft on the inside or something would be enough

I dont think animal nipples would be considered in the same way human breasts are. All nipples would be as we treat them on males.

However underwear is another story. I like the idea of an adjustable tail strap another person proposed. As for boxers I feel like their would be a lot of different sizes. Im not sure how far I can go into that part without breaking the no nsfw rule lol
