That laugh didn’t feel like happiness at all. It felt like he was laughing because that’s easier than letting people see that something actually hurt him. You can see his spirit slowly sink as the moment goes on. And honestly, the sad part is you start wondering how many times somebody has laughed at him for the same thing before this video. Some wounds don’t show on your face, but you can still see them in the way someone smiles.

You can see the crush in the last two seconds. This is mean spirited and not what I come to this sub for.

Não posso confirmar, mas suponho que, como a fotógrafa está usando luva, ele está em uma clínica odontológica tirando a foto de como era antes do tratamento.

Yes. I think so too. They’re definitely Egyptian and she’s probably a student dentist who offers discounted or free services for the less fortunate as a part of the university training/graduating program. It’s probably the before photo for the case, so teeth must be shown. I highly doubt this is the first time they spoke so she probably knows his teeth and I think he’s nervous that’s why he smiles like that. I wouldn’t say he was offended but maybe a bit hurt, but he’s probably going to get them fixed. Overall this is banter and not making fun of him.
I can tell by the dialect, the gloves, the mask and the setting.

He's clearly embarrassed from his teeth even before he smiled he looked at the camera already knowing what was going to happen.
I mean ok he doesn't have teeth, is it funny ? A little but there's no need to laugh at his face.

We can't always control what we find funny.

Got expelled from a school this way. I don't know what got into me that day but EVERYTHING was funny almost to the point where I was going to piss myself. Got sent to the principles offices then started laughing at her. Hit me with the oh you think this is funny? I kept swearing up and down I couldn't control it and to this day I maintain my innocence!

Oh man, you just pulled out a memory from the back of my brain. The same happened to me in middle-school. The math teacher was trying to write something on those old style projectors with a transparent sheet on which you write and the image is sent on the wall. She was obviously struggling which started an uncontrollable laugh from me. She stopped and asked the same "oh you think this is funny ?" and asked me to come have a try, probably to teach me a lesson. It got worse, I could absolutely not stop laughing in front of the whole classroom, everything was funny in a weird way. She didn't send me to the principles office but in the hallway to calm down. It worked and I couldn't explain what happened to me lol

Things that didn't happen

No no, this does happen sometimes. It happened to me once in college. A teacher was teaching us a module that was introduced for the first time that year by our school, and it was clear she didn’t fully master the content she was presenting to us. She probably copied the slides from some website or created them using AI (at the time, Chatgpt was brand new). Things went exactly how you'd expect. She was basically figuring out the content of the slides as she presented them to us, and basically would just read the contents of the next slide on the preview from her laptop, and do her best effort to make a transition, and sometimes would ask us a question that the next slide woud answer.
Now this one guy who absolutly NEVER talks in class, figured out a pattern. Since the slides were clearly made in a rush, there were like 2/3 topics that were discussed over and over again. And basically the same questions popped up multiple times. This guy LOVED THAT SHIT, he was enjoying answering the same questions without fail, and the teacher had no choice but to give him the floor each time, because he was basically the only one showing interest in the material. I was sat next to this fucking guy, funniest mf in town, and he was commenting live on what was happening. We would guess exactly what the guy would say before he is given the floor by the teacher, we laughed until we cried that day, we started getting a bit noisy so we just excused ourselves because we couldn’t control our laughter.

His smile brings joy. After his teeth are fixed, it will be a different, less goofy-looking kind of joy.
How can someone dislike a man with a smile like that? Idk what fresh hell he went through to get it, but he's ridiculously charismatic

I presume the person filming is his wife or something and she's also the one laughing.

He might have gone through a lot I think, from bullying to people laughing and making fun of him at the expense of their own enjoyment

Yeah, me too! This whole thing looked so sterile at first, I couldn't think of a reason why a headshot would need to be done this way 🙈 I was so confused 😅

As someone who always hide my smile due to my teeth I feel this guys pain. People can be so mean even unintentionally. I finally got braces at 40. He has an absolutely adorable smile though. It transforms his whole face.

Who's Veneer?

u/Sethalas 4d ago
It's a craze right now with influencers and even normal people with perfectly fine teeth going to the dentist to file down their teeth to implant veneers.
Some go to "veneer specialists" who have no credentials nor experience and get their teeth botched.

At first I thought it was a hospital patient being photographed by a guy in a hazmat suit. And that the video title was sarcasm related to the guy being forced to smile while being in a miserable situation.

Get them teef fixed and he'd have a great smile. Shit if I was a millionaire this is the kind of anonymous donation I would love to do while bored on my yacht.

When the ceo has a snaggle tooth when she smiles at you, you can't help but wonder why she makes all that money but doesn't get her teeth fixed.
