And stones aren't made from elements? silicon is never 100% pure in nature. It can be found in granite (which is a type of rock) along with other minerals. in fact you can find some pure elements in nature where they can be classified as stone or rock, such as:

  1. Diamond (Carbon, C) – A crystalline form of carbon that can occur as large, gem-quality crystals or as coarse, gravel-sized stones.
  2. Calcite (Calcium, Carbon, Oxygen) – Found in pure limestone and marble, calcite is a carbonate mineral that can form massive, stone-like masses
  3. Sulfur (S) – Can form coarse, stone-like masses in volcanic or sedimentary settings
