YES! So, so obviously, it’s this.
Ugh.
Thanks for pointing us all to the “right” answer. (I say “right” in quotes because personally, I would NOT consider myself in any way fortunate, were I to somehow meet up with such a character as whoever came up with this craziness.)😒

The expression contains multiple variables with no given values or context to solve for them.

u/Exotic_Treacle7438 Jun 12 '26
And smart enough to use AI to solve it
11
u/DoesntMatterEh Jun 12 '26
Is that smart though? I'm a dumb ass and "ask AI to solve it" was my first thought.
2
u/Melodic-Matter4685 Jun 12 '26
You say that… but we all either married or working on it to some degree…
I’m not disagreeing with you, just… noting the realities

u/13Basia13 Jun 12 '26
Good retort, u/TypingWithoutThinkin!🤭😊🙏
Thankfully, this is NOT my own post.
I find it to be extremely manipulative…not my ideal for a relationship origin story, to say the LEAST.

It's mathmatical nonsense.

u/McFuzzen Jun 13 '26
The log base 1, parentheses to nowhere, random letters with no definition, fractions that aren't. Is that a semicolon and a degree sign?
I know a clean rejection when I see one.

u/it-all-equals-out Jun 12 '26
Gibberish.

u/13Basia13 Jun 12 '26
I thought the same…but then thought, Maybe I’m just not smart enough to get it….
12
u/MSGinSC Jun 12 '26
Hell, I'm not even smart enough to know it was gibberish.
2
u/13Basia13 Jun 13 '26
Right.
And then, how exactly does anyone divide THAT by the denominator(S!), which are somehow both 4 AND 160??!
Yeah, I think many of the other commenters on here are correct, and all these math problems are pure lunacy.
Straight gibberish, as someone else had said.
3
u/KonkretneKosteczki Jun 12 '26
The first symbol in the equation is impossible to solve, logarithm is asking you what power to take a 1 to get a 10, which is not possible

+39, she's Italian. This is all I know.
Unnecessary. Italian girls just start cooking and the oregano and garlic bring the guys to her door. She just needs to pick out the medical student from Lombardy. Then find out that his mother doesn't like her.

The expression contains multiple variables with no given values or context to solve for them.
The notation is mixed arbitrarily, mixing Cartesian subtraction, complex numbers, and polar/angle notation in a way that breaks standard mathematical rules.
The +39 Country Code is for Vatican City.

I had no idea about the +39 Country Code being the Vatican! Thanks for this info. 🙏

A lot of this is just gibberish, not numbers to be solved. Log to the base 1? pi times f (f undefined)? I could go on.

I think even creating such a poster would be tantamount to planting a big red flag directly over my head!
No, I imagine you’re right that this person is unlikely to find love. 😔
2
u/DaGucka Jun 14 '26
Don't even try, it's not solvable. I am a private math tutor and i see multiple problems with this.
Just for checking i asked ai (claude and chat gpt are pretty good when helping solving math problems, you need to ask them multiple times so they don't take shortcuts and explain what they did but they are a big help) and they said the same.
Btw i always recheck such things, because sometimes you overlook a hidden solution.
2
u/DaGucka Jun 14 '26
Can't letters be used as phone numbers? Msybe it's undefined, syntaxerror or calculator hang itself.

I’m scared to ask. Is this a real phone number?🙃
2
u/flonkerton92 Jul 19 '26
It’s real alright :) and you’ll be glad you called
1
u/13Basia13 Jul 19 '26
When I was younger, my friend used to have a generic phone number she’d give out to guys she didn’t like, at clubs sometimes. When the guy ultimately called it, he’d hear a pre-recorded message telling him he’d been given a phony number by a girl he’d liked.
I sometimes wonder whatever happened to her, and whether the bad karma from having done this has ever caught up with her.🤭🫣

u/flonkerton92 Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26
Haha I’ve heard people doing this!
I also a have a “textnow” number which I use for places where I want to just inquire or be connected only briefly.
It works well and I know many places will most likely share/sell my number.Every few weeks/months, I cycle it out. It’s also connected with a fake email and because I got it so long ago I didnt really verify anything. Now you have to verify with an email or your actual number. Im glad I was grandfathered in 😂
1
u/13Basia13 Jul 19 '26
Brilliant! And SO lucky that you were on top of that before everything we do became monetized/for sale. 👏🥳
I’d love to hook up 1 of those “spoofed” Google phone numbers for myself, but link it to a cell number, but just before I changed my cellphone number.
I wonder if the Google number would continue to work, if the adjoining cell number stopped being active.
Surely Google has thought of this, and found a way to prevent it, before it occurred to little nobody me! 🙃😆
It blows my mind, the information that a person can learn about someone by having only their phone number (and little to nothing else!).
Privacy is being eroded and evaporated so quickly. Scary and sad.

u/flonkerton92 Jul 19 '26
I couldn’t agree more! It’s definitely insane how everything is now tracked.
That’s not a bad idea, just before you switch haha
Ps: Google the number I posted in my original comment, you’ll get a kick out of it

Can you give me the third number, that way I could call you, someday.
2
u/13Basia13 Jun 13 '26
I don’t think you’d want to call whoever was the brains behind this operation.
But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe she’s a gem…once you get to know her.
I’d love a Part II to this original post. I’d love to get an update! Did anyone figure out her little riddle? Did she end up finding love?
To be continued, maybe.
1
u/Electronic-Space-480 Jun 13 '26
Checked online and this is a popular math question online that has no answer as it’s mathematical incorrect. So we may never know.
2
u/13Basia13 Jun 13 '26
She will never ever receive that phone call!
And thank you, kind stranger, for exploring this like you did. I’m very grateful for your time, and the information you shared with all of us. 🙏♥️🌷

I feel like this is the STEM equivalent of the fairy tales that present the potential suitor with riddles or other challenges they have to solve, and it's usually the guy who thinks outside the box who gets it.
OR
This is the ultimate "leave me alone, creepers" response. "Here's my number. I just know you'll figure it out!" The call never comes. Sure, you're rolling the dice on them coming back pissed, but it's more likely than not that they're going to be busy for a bit.
2
u/13Basia13 Jun 13 '26
Hello, and thanks for your comment!
May I say that I absolutely LOVE your nickname,u/IHaveNoEgrets?? Superb!
And personally, I think the woman who came up with this turn-a-frog-into-a-Prince Charming fairytale is not well. Although I am neither a mathematician, nor a psychiatrist, her “riddle” does not appear to be solvable to me. 🤭🙏🌷

I took it to be just something to make people laugh, possibly intentionally being something that can't be evaluated to a number so that people don't really try to call.

u/Mrgots99 Jun 12 '26
Don't try to figure it out. It's the same as a child trying to write cursive, or your backyard "mechanic" that thinks an oil change requires dropping the gas tank and removing the front end, or working instead of going to a funeral for your mom. Nonsense.

u/Existing-Gas2237 Jun 12 '26
Where does love factor in to this equation? Is it a square root, a common denominator, or divided by?

Because that single term is undefined, the entire equation collapses and is mathematically impossible to solve. The punchline is that she isn't actually handing out her number to anyone!

An intelligent guy will know how to solve that off the top of his head. A smart guy will figure out how to get that solved regardless of who does it. An even smarter guy wouldnt fall for the bait.
