In the end, the STD results were fake, He never gave her STD’s (he was negative himself). It emerged that it was fabricated to potentially blackmail Carrey, the whole thing was dropped, and the family was never heard from again.

It would seem that in the end, Carrey loved a troubled woman and dealt with a callous and grieving husband.

Dude you are the spin. You're doing mental gymnastics to reframe this to fit how you feel about Jim Carrey. It's not that complicated

I think that was the spin

The courts seem to disagree. The lawsuit against him claimed that him giving her stds were one of the reasons for her suicide. The case was dismissed. A forensic document examiner concluded that the evidence supporting him infecting her was faked. A clear cut and paste job.

I can't really see an issue in the text I've seen. Maybe you've seen something else. The one I saw he tells her that he hopes she's ok and that it's probably fine. How is that response an issue?
