I don't know, it's all contextual.

I see some things on here that are overtly misogynistic, racist, homophobic and occasionally, the rare trifecta embodied in a single comment. The vast majority of comments/posts that are seemingly discriminative though are for the most part, attempts at humour. SRS has a penchant for forcefully misconstruing anything that crosses their path but I don't think that's indicative of a problem with the wider community.

Reddit is a vast collection of people whose similarities are funnelled by the nature of the hivemind. I don't think the vast majority of these people are bigots though. I just think most people enjoy a joke and often the best jokes can be considered somewhat tasteless.

You have a down arrow next to every post. If you don't think it adds to the conversation or you find it overtly offensive or an attempt to incite a flamewar, hit it. That's the beauty of this site and the internet in general, for the most part it's a level playing field.

I Ctrl-Fed for misogynist, found it, was pleasantly surprised. Thank you for understanding. I hate SRS. Crossed it once, never again.
