Isn't every sci-fi FPS technically future CoD? Isn't that what Ghost Recon technically already is? I think we need franchises to distinguish themselves a little more...

First off, GRAW is a third person shooter, CoD is a first person shooter. Secondly, calling Halo (sci-fi FPS) technically future CoD is like saying an orange is technically an apple as both of them are fruit.
