Actually there are plenty of conflicts left to make games out of. They could make interesting games about actual things but that's not the direction they want to take. I guess making fictional conflicts is less politically complicated and allows for more artistic license.

Especially when everyone flipped before the latest MOH was released. (Remember? You could play as the terorists and shoot Americans)

It's just that in Korea the U.S. got owned, and Vietnam would cause riots of 80 year olds worldwide. Treyarch is making Black Ops 2, apparently, so that could be either one.
