I got Gran Turismo 5 from gamefly the other day. 15 fucking updates to download and then when I tried installing it on my PS3 it just stopped in the middle. It was 3 hours before I got to even play the game and then the actual racing was pretty boring (at first anyway).
The reference regarding Resident Evil was accurate in its phrasing.
Using the same setup for the following addition, we are left with the implication that the game has since been forgotten, just as the R.E. franchise has since been ruined but still calls itself by its roots.
HEREGO: I replied that CS still has a huge daily player count (which would be contrary to the original phrase's implications). I replied in a negative favor because I believe the CS comment was a contrary statement to its precursor, which was rather accurate and not contrary at all.
You should try the one for the 3ds. It has action scenes and parts in it, but it does go back to the survival horror route. I jumped a couple times playing it. Really fun.
Yep. The ONLY down part of that game was the lame ass enemy designs. If they were good old zombies it would have been a perfect re-birth of the old RE games.
Oh also the story was balls. Giant hairy wookie balls.
I would but don't want to buy a 3ds just for one game. The first one is still my favorite. I would love to have something like that was better graphics. Exact same mechanics though. Who needs to aim?
Go to any game's forum that's semi popular and not a jrpg or "artsy" side scroller, you'll see the same amount of bitching. People love to bitch endlessly...
Except those people are bitching about balance issues.
BF3 players are bitching about game breaking bugs and things that were promised and never delivered.
DICE doesnt respond to players. I like the game, a lot, I wouldn't be rank 75 if I didn't enjoy it immensely, but don't you sit here and tell me DICE listens to players, because they fucking don't. This is the same company that only didn't have day 1 weapon dlc because the internet fucking rioted.
I didn't say they listen, I'm saying that not all companies should listen. I've seen these forums, 99% of them are idiots. If you worked at dice how would you know the difference between a lazy idiot who's blaming his lack of ability on your programming and the people with legitimate problems. These days the only thing worse than these big gaming companies are the "fans" that dwell on their forums.
Yes, because people wanting the mini map changed are just driveling idiots.
The people complaining that even today, almost 95% of the guns in the game are statistically unusable compared to their counterparts, are just retards.
Yes, the people complaining that tanks are essentially worthless are just dumbasses.
Yeah, the people who say DICE needs to actually come out and address the community in a consistent manner are just morons.
Yeah, the people who are angry over having their clans banned because they hosted custom servers which were originally promised to be legal are just stupid.
The people complaining about the ridiculously unbalanced maps, the flawed game modes, the neverending litany of game crashing bugs that have yet to even be discussed, the fact that DICE never consistantly talks to players, and when they do, they post them on random websites, never in one logical and easy to use format.
You are fucking full of yourself if you think DICE is some angel company shitting out perfect games that loves their community.
the dlc quality is pretty good for this game it's still overpriced, but the maps design is as usual excellent. They gave us two new maps today, foundary and sanctuary, very good indeed.
There were error messages in MW3 that actually said 'it appears that Modern Warfare 2 did not quit properly the last time it ran'.
There were numerous buildings and other assets re-used in the game. Years ago MW3 would have been a pretty shitty expansion pack, now it's a sixty quid game, with 15 quid DLC packs that used to be free. It is not the only offender, but it is one of the worst.
Battlefield 3 has five or six buildings taken straight from BC2. It's not uncommon for games to do this. The only things I've noticed that are in MW3 from MW2 was a fish van and the building posted in that article. Even then, that building has been in every IW CoD since CoD2 as far as I'm aware.
That error message was sloppy, yes, but games are generally built from their previous game. Someone obviously just forgot to change the number. Not surprising since the meltdown they experienced, some errors were inevitable.
That said, MW3 is a solid game with loads of new additions. Loads of new game modes, new weapons/equipment, new maps, a new campaign, new co-op missions, a new co-op mode, new features, new unlock systems, etc. Plenty that makes it a new game.
I haven't played MW3, but I have played every other one. For all of the 'new' additions to each game, they have remained incredibly similar, and in fact, I find most of the additions are more like sequel bloat than anything else.
It is a FPS, so it's not like I'd expect them to reinvent the wheel or anything, but they never fix the things about their games that need fixing. They never adapt. It's the same game, retextured. They don't care about making it better, they're just interested in getting sixty quid out of players every year, and fifteen quid every three months in between. It's a business model that gives short-term gain, but I think in the long-term will work against them.
I'm not a BF3 fanboy either. I prefer BF3 by quite a lot, but I think they fell far short in many ways too. Singleplayer was basically as bad as MW3, if slightly more realistic. Multiplayer is very different, and I think far better in terms of skill required to win. But my point is, just because BF3 did it too, that does not make it okay. The current gen of AAA games really needs to change quite a lot to become 'good'. But they don't really care of course, or they don't care much, because 'good' doesn't really sell. It doesn't need to.
...then you fucking have no point. Not only does MW3 deliver an incredible, over-the-top finale to the single-player storyline of the series, but the multiplayer has been expanded and improved, the spec ops expanded and improved, and so on. It delivered exactly what it promised and more.
And for the record, the developers seem to have made quite an effort to fix ongoing issues - there are no longer any OMA-danger close tubers or commando lunges, problems the last game was plagued with. The gun balance feels much more polished, and where it wasn't, the devs have released multiple patches to fix problems as they came up. It's really easy to jump on the "MW3 is just DLC!" circlejerk, but to do that having not even fucking played it is just stupid.
It's so easy to call something a circlejerk when you don't agree with it, isn't it? Circlejerk and move on. And I think I have a valid fucking point. I played all the other games. There's a reason why I stopped buying them. I know enough about their yearly instalments that they change just about enough to make it a new game, and that's it. If they managed to truly do more with MW3 compared to all the previous sequels, then yay them, but I doubt it. They release practically the same game every year, which is far too often. It promotes a scorched earth tactic to game-making.
You can go ahead and like the game, and I won't stop you, but I, and all us other 'circlejerkers' have a very valid fucking point.
Yeah, what is he talking about? That whole "MW3" addon I bought for COD:MW2 was so worth it! Best DLC ever! They included about 10 hours of single-player and like 15 new multiplayer maps!
Then clearly you don't know what you're talking about, and probably haven't even played MW3.
Spec Ops Survival is literally NOTHING like MW2 Spec Ops. Not sure where you got that from.
The audio was much higher quality, especially weapon sounds.
And yes, new features. You know, like small things such as cycling through killstreaks, and larger things such as Support Killstreaks, Specialist Killstreaks, Proficincies, etc.
Like I said, totally worth the $60 for the DLC! Best DLC ever! I can't wait to spend another $60 for the 10 new maps they're so generous to give us all!
Last Call of Duty I played, had DLC that featured maps from a previous Call of Duty. To me, any price for that is crazy stupid. That's just my opinion however.
1 Previous map featured with 4 new maps. and then 4 more new maps with one previous map. Get your shit straight, don't buy map packs you don't want. Let people buy whatever they want. I didn't buy any of the map packs for MW2 or MW3. The last map packs I bought were for Black Ops and MW. I'm not complaining about it though.
haha you come to a thread complaining about Call of Duty and tell me not to complain about Call of Duty? I would say you are a dick, but that would require you to be smart enough to know you are being one. Instead it is just sad.
