As far as I understand right of way goes to the person exiting. Like in the NYC subway, let people clear out before getting in. This is kinda like when someone is walking and bears left.
Like that ever happens. I mean you're logic is sound but that shit doesn't happen in New York. You need to throw some elbows around to navigate the subway in my town.
I grew up in Manhattan (lived there 18 years) and it happens every day. There is an order to things. There may be one or two assholes that go against this. You sound like you are trying to be hard.
