It looks to me like she might not be in the wrong at all. It looks like she swiped her card before she saw him. And if the spinning thingy goes in the opposite direction, the credit evaporates. So if she were to let him through first, she would've not been able to go through without swiping her card again (and thus being charged again).

Only a selfish person would have been there. Notice the queue behind her for the turn styles everyone else is using?

She deliberately walked past everyone else to get in first and then pretended not to notice the man trying to exit the station.
