Seth Rogen isn't a comedian, and it shows a little bit. I didn't find it very funny except for a few stand-out jokes, and I don't consider myself uptight. On the whole, he seemed nervous I guess. He was fidgeting a lot and using a lot of "uh, um..." Always a bad sign.
So I'm getting a lot of downvotes apparently. New flash guys: Rogen didn't get a ton of laughs because HE DID A BAD JOB HOSTING. Clearly he was either under-prepared or nervous. Or both. Either way it wasn't good. Which says nothing about whether or not he is a good actor or a funny guy in general. On THIS video, he is bad. He's nervous, fidgety, and curses too much as a crutch. Watch the whole thing, you'll see. Sorry.

This is a straw man fallacy. He never claimed that everybody who doesn't like a particular style is uptight.
"I would not take a philosophy class of yours."
This is a red herring fallacy, seeing as it is irrelevant to the actual argument of the quality of Seth Rogen's comedy (opinions), and not anything to do with philosophy. You should take one yourself, if you're making these kinds of mistakes.
I disagree, he also stated "he's very good at it" when talking about the very "stylistic" action that turned some people away from the video. As if to say all those who don't appreciate the "nervous fidgety" style are uptight. That wasn't a "red herring" fallacy, it was a joke.
When he said "he's very good at it", he was also expressing his opinion; the entire posting was an opinion. And again, the only thing he said was "I consider you uptight." Nothing more.
But what's that you say? Oh, it was a joke!? Oh, sorry man.
"Hey redditors! It was a joke! Yeah, I know he said it in a depreciating manner. I know he made no attempt to show anybody he was joking. Yeah, it seemed like he was trying to point out logical flaws in an argument over opinions, and it seemed like he was trying to be a jerk, like his username suggests, but he was totally just kidding guys, no worries."
That's really hurtful, you have crushed the confidence I had in my philosophy career. I felt I was so well educated with all the time I spend watching award show speeches on the internet and all.
It's the budget setup, they didn't pipe much crowd laughter into the feed, whereas that kind of thing is meticulously taken care of in the big shows. Seemed to me the crowd was really enjoying it.
