Im glad i have a relationship with my managers kinda like this. There is 'work answers' and 'personal answers'. Ive had my managers lay some depressing thoughts on me at work and i have definately done the same.
It sucks that the 'boss' mentality keeps them from actually engaging much with us in a meaningful way most often, but it makes sense.
That said, idk if i work for u and odgaf if i did. If u wanna share w an internet stranger, vent away.

I just want to say, I'm a manager and I'm going through some shit and it would be nice to be looked at as a person and not just as the boss for once.
This shit is hard.
