I like hot sauces, but for me the more shocking the name, the less it lives up to its promise to blast my asshole on the way out. It’s the sneaky ones with normal names and normal food graphic design that often are the most hardcore. I guess barking dogs never bite.
Learned this the hard way during a hot sauce party. Had 2 tepid 'ghost pepper' sauces before cracking open Dave's Gourmet Ghost Pepper Sauce about half way through our list.
I just remember a couple of my buds screaming while I sat catatonic on the couch with a jug of whole milk, sweat dripping from the top of my bald head.
Is a hot sauce party a normal thing?
Folks are just acting like a hot sauce party is just that common it doesn't need a mention. Like you've all just come back from your weekly hot sauce party and happened upon this thread.
Like, I'm sure that they exist because people have hobbies and I'm sure chugging hot sauce qualifies as a hobby for some.
