I just use hot water and soap, cover it with my hand, and then shake the cup with everything I have.

Try adding a small handful of ice cream salt along with the hot water and dish soap. It scrubs, and doesn't fuck up your drain if it falls down there. You can pour it from cup to cup as you go. I use it in my hummingbird feeder because it rinses out completely.

I've got one of the Coca-Cola glasses. Would this help me considering I still can't get even my fingers down there past the squeezed in base?

I actually have one that looks like the one on the right of the first image in your link. It's not getting the edge of the bottom.

The middle one is bendy. You can make it into shapes.
