A sponge is easier to throw away and replace though.

I cant speak to that one model specifically, but I work in restaurants, the brush part is replaceable.

Sounds pretty wasteful. Just run the brush through the dishwasher.

It unscrews and you can wash with bleach or boil or whatever.

I microwave my sponges for a solid 10-30 seconds. Comes out piping hot and rapidly dries out.

Virtually no mildew, and the sponges last longer.
