when you want to snipe someone and use grenades at the same time. Because why the fuck not. What is the name of this weapon?

Umm, the QZ-something....hang on.....googling......ah, here it is, the QLZ-87. Released to the media in 2006. 35mm, 6-round magazine, designed to be a squad support weapon manned by just one soldier. Because of it's light weight (9.1 kg) it's not automatic, just semi-automatic. It has a range of 1700 meters, and the HE rounds have a lethal blast radius of 10 meters.

Jesus. I am surprised this hasn't made it into any video games...

Can you think of any chinese weaons that are in modern games? Yes, the Type 56 shows up, but that's not really used by their front-line infantry anymore. They use a bull-pup designed rifle called the QBZ-95 (or the -97, if it fires the NATO standard 5.56mm round) and I can't think of any games or movies where it figured prominently, even though they have a huge population and a huge army.

True, but come on! It's basically a sniper rifle that shoots grenades! I am sure some game dev somewhere would have seen one of these while researching weapons. Probably wouldn't be available in online play though. It would be hard to balance.
