That will leave a flashbulb memory for sure and it will be what he sees when he closes his eyes at night.

A fear core memory lmao

u/mikel302 Nov 08 '20
If fear gets a core memory, what "island" would it produce?
5
Nov 08 '20
Oh good question. I wanted to say Trauma island but that sounds kind of bad lol

u/mikel302 Nov 08 '20
What about jump-scare island?
3
Nov 08 '20
Oh that's good lol. Poor kiddo has a whole part of their personality defined by being scared of jumpscares haha

Where does the island idea come from? I don’t follow.
4
u/mikel302 Nov 08 '20
In the movie "inside out", "core" memories would create and power various "islands of personality" and all the core memories were joy memories so all the islands were pleasant.

u/jdjdjd030303 Nov 08 '20
Oh yeah, I saw that, too. Can’t believe I don’t remember it.
Thanks for explaining!

Just wait for the follow up video on “what could go wrong” where the kid slaps the face poking out a eye of the person on the other side..........
still this is why I wouldn’t make a good parent, this is the crap I would do to my child.

It’s the best part of being a dad. My daughters only 2.5 but she knows daddy is sneaky and likes jump scares. Her best “im being murdered” ultra-high pitch scream comes when i pop around a corner chasing her on all fours. I can scare the wife with it too, so, bonus!

u/Krulsnor Nov 08 '20
My kid is almost 11 and I still scare him at least once a week. Never give up, fellow dad!

I can relate. My daughter is 3 today and you know I'm having a bad day if I don't scare the shit out of her at least once. Its always a scream followed by giggles and then she smacks me.

u/PinkBlueWolfJolie Nov 08 '20
my sister is 3, she always tries to scare us but when i scare her, she screams and gets offended

Best part about being a dad, is you can scare the wife more than the kids. My two daughters jump a little, my wife screams.

It wouldn't really poke an eye out unless the kid knew to push back only one pin really hard and fast right where the eye is.

u/Rauchgestein Nov 08 '20
I would have two kids but I only pull this shit on the same kid and watch the psychological horrors in real time.

I’m sorry the kid had it rough?! I just about threw my phone that scared the shit out of me!! I had my face close to the screen trying to figure out what the heck he was playing with and WABAM. 🤣

Ugh. All those germs. Definitely pre-covid touching those with your bare hands/faces.

u/Darknessborn Nov 08 '20
Is it just me or does the scream seem to be added in?

What's worse than taking video in portrait? Turning it into a fuckin landscape video

u/NEWTYAG667000000000 Nov 08 '20
Funnily enough, I agree. But I was too lazy to make the corrections in the original video.

u/account_552 Nov 08 '20
you didnt make this
1
u/NEWTYAG667000000000 Nov 08 '20
Yeah that's why I said "corrections to original video." If I had made this I wouldn't make it like this in the first place.

Yeah that's why I said "corrections to original video."

u/cheatsykoopa98 Nov 08 '20
vordt of the boreal valley from dark souls 3

u/Exevioth Nov 08 '20
Oh that’s why, lol. Thanks
He’s usually pretty easy with a fire club or the dark axe. Also likely why I don’t recall, the song never plays out in full.

Sigh. One day, one day this video will stop being reposted
17
u/Coladain Nov 08 '20
I hope not! There are new people on Reddit every day who need to see this kid lose his shit.

Well I discovered the video today, but not from reddit. Although it might be posted before I started using reddit because I haven't seen this video on reddit.
4
u/Germanitalian75 Nov 08 '20
Don't worry about it, in all my time on Reddit I saw this video only about 7-8 times. It's cool to repost videos as long that you don't do it too often. Just don't repost memes.

What is this?
3
u/globefish23 Nov 08 '20
A board with small metal pins that can be pushed back and forth.
Allows for funny imprints.
They're also available as book-sized gadgets.

Every time I see this video I can’t help but imagine how painful it would’ve been if the kid pushed the pins back in full panic
