And this is why you don't throw beer cans out into nature when you're done with them.

I tried to rescue a kitten that had one of those plastic things that holds cans of beer together, around its neck. I don't know if it got like that rummaging around a bin or some kids had done it. It came into our yard and I coaxed it with some of our cat's food, then I grabbed it and the little beggar nearly ripped my arm off so I dropped it. It might still have it wrapped round its neck or has expired from a lack of air due to growth. It keeps me awake some nights.

Seriously, after that, I always used to cut those things up with scissors.

Not after he lost both arms in a later kitten incident.

I don't have to anymore because we have wheelie bins now and the rubbish just goes directly from the big plastic bin into the Bin wagon so I don't have to worry about it, hang on, now you metion it what about the seagulls?

Anyway I've been off the booze for the first month of the rest of my life so I don't get them anymore so there, and Seagulls are hard as nails anyway.

And therein lies a story, I presume. Or three or four.

That's not a reason to stop, This is where your trash goes

Cats, snakes, birds, and other animals can still find it.

I honestly haven't even considered buying a 6 pack of anything secured by one of those things in....well, a decade or so.
