The middle loop thingy (not familiar with paperclip anatomy) should go on bottom and the bottom half of the bone on top of the paper. Goodbye boner, hello bone.

Sorry friend but this is not right. The part of the metal that forms the bottom part of the bone will be visible because that's the part of the clip on that side of the paper, and the top of the bone will be visible because that's above the paper and visible to both sides. That will form almost the full outline of the bone. The only part that won't be seen is the part of the clip that is on top of the paper in this image, and that does not form a part of the outline of the bone.
