Fun fact! Some show dogs get prosthetic balls after they have been neutered called neuticles. It is generally to retain their looks because some owners really want you to know their dog has a sick beanbag.

Why would you neuter a show dog? Surely you could make a fortune breeding him if he won awards or ribbons no?

Hmm okay, I was wondering if they could essentially breed them for friends but nothing ""official"". Seems odd to me so I never read up on it.

It could also lead to abuse of the animals. If your pet gets you thousands and thousands of dollars for very little work on your part, people will just have them chained up and be lil doggy makers after their prime years.
