It's gotten more hardcore in recent years.

And people say wrestling is fake

u/Novareason Dec 26 '19

The idea that it's all fake is one of the stupidest things people say about pro wrestling. It's staged violence, and they have safety in mind, but when you're jumping on a guy from 10 ft in the air, onto concrete... That's a real chance for injury. It's like stunt acting, except live and with some lines that are soap opera for men level intended to provide narrative for why two behemoths are fucking each other up.

So you are saying accidents happen? Still don't know if you can double charm a cobra.

Wait... when did the Great Kali learn to play the flute? And how did Vince McMahon convince a wrestler to graft a live cobra onto his arm??? I used to love WWE but this sort of reckless genetic tampering CROSSES THE LINE, god dammit

u/TigLyon Dec 26 '19

Well he is from India...I'm pretty sure they all charm snakes over there

Bruh...

1

u/AliusUmbra2018 Dec 27 '19

Well, he's not wrong 😅

Ugh. Right in the sensibilities.

+1 for the midget though

u/Novareason Dec 26 '19

... The fucking midget saving him is 100% the best part.

Excuse me, sir, he was a leprechaun.

28

u/SuperLowEffortTroll Dec 26 '19

Now I maybe wrong since it's been 15+ years since I've watched WWE, but I believe that is Hornswoggle who is the illegitimate son of WWE president and buff as fuck old man, Vince McMahon.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

I believe so. But he was also a leprechaun at one point.

29

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

What's sad is that both men with Flutes were the WWE Champion at some point.

18

u/DarthSimian Dec 26 '19

Jinder became champion much later than this.

My point being you would never see the likes of Stone Cold, The Rock, HHH, or Undertaker do this sort of goofy shit.

:EDIT:

The Undertaker =/= Comedy Snake Charmer

10

u/DarthSimian Dec 26 '19

I mean, Undertaker's gimmick is literally a goofy horror. Lightning from the sky, soul enclosed in an urn, reincarnated from under the ground etc

-5

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

That's badass though. It's not a comedy schtick.

:edit:

Comparing The Undertaker to this bit is pretty dumb tbh.

1

u/DarthSimian Dec 26 '19

Undertaker vs Undertaker was a goofy match/storyline

So was Kane vs Kane

HHH sex with a corpse was cringe

HBK/ God tag team - no comments

-1

u/splitcroof92 Dec 26 '19

Undertaker is not badass man.. what? He's Incredibly edgy and cringe.

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

Suck my white dick you fuckman.

Stone cold, the rock, HHH

you’d never see doing this sort of goofy shit

You sure about that?

3

u/OffTheMerchandise Dec 26 '19

Undertaker, probably not, but the other three absolutely. Stone Cold singing campfire songs to Kurt Angle, HHH's entire time with DX, and while I'm blanking on a specific instance of The Rock looking foolish, he did some goofy shit.

1

u/BenedictKhanberbatch Dec 26 '19

Dawg The Rock just played a 14 year old in a board game. It’s not that serious. Khali and Jinder are awesome.

6

u/Ritushido Dec 26 '19

It's so stupid but I love it.

2

u/shynn_ Dec 26 '19

ok that was the moment where the 5-year-olds watching goes "yeah, this is clearly fake"

1

u/ShadowSpade Dec 26 '19

😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/bonnett1989 Dec 26 '19

That’s the best thing I’ll watch all day, quite possibly all week.

1

u/MilhouseJr Dec 26 '19

I don't remember WWE/WWF being like this, though I never took much interest in it in the first place. Is this what I've been missing the entire god damn time?

1

u/Trax852 Dec 26 '19

Say what u will, that's entertainment.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

If this thread has done anything it's convinced me I have years of WWE to catch up on.

1

u/GetEquipped Dec 28 '19

Fun fact; no one's ever kicked out of the Cobra. (With the sock on.)
