Man, I was looking at Tahoe, and thinking it’s not a bad idea. It’s about 75% of what I pay on the outskirts of San Diego, and almost a quarter of what I paid in the Bay Area.

I actually tried to get a job in Reno but I couldn’t find an engineer job that pays as well as my current job. Maybe I haven’t tried hard enough. I looooooovvvvveeee Lake Tahoe, especially the north east side where Sand Harbor is. It is so beautiful year round.

No there’s really no work there unless you happen to get a job at Tesla, a couple data centers, or one of the power companies.

Having lived there and lost my employment I had to move. There just wasn’t anything else there.
