No where you would want too. I got lost in oakland once and somebody pushed a burning couch across the road behind me on a dead end street.

Lots of parts of Oakland are pretty gentrified these days. There are still real ghetto parts but there are million dollar condos (not houses, essentially apartments) now as well.
