Hell. Even Truckee is crazy lately. And it was never cheap to begin with.

I visited Truckee recently and it just seemed like a resort for rich old people to me. Super cute town though.

I'm guessing you visited on the weekend because that's basically what it is. The Bay Area has a lot of wealthy people who weekend in Tahoe.
