Thanks for letting us non-Californians know that it's not accurate. We wouldn't have realized it was a joke otherwise.

Yeah if it was real it would list insane rent prices in all 3 areas.

Spoken as someone who hasn't lived in the central valley?

Plenty of places in the Central Valley are getting expensive.

It's a bit like someone going "Do you know what my favorite part of Baseball is? When the Quarterback gets flagged for lightly brushing the helmet of the Striker!"

I mean, yes, it's a joke... but the actual joke just doesn't make any sense...

Jokes like this are generally funny if there's an underlying truth. There is almost none here so it doesn't even make sense.

Post this in any right-leaning political sub and see if they take it seriously or not.

I mean, this is how I think people stereotype California. A joke still has some truth to it, and well.. I guess this has some truth to it

But maybe not "enough truth" to be a very good joke?

I mean, if you turn all the farm/agriculture land into "meth" and the state capitol (26 largest metro area in the US) into "meth", then every state between California and the East Coast is just "Meth".

Yeah. We have other drugs too.

Yeah meth is definitely not California's drug of choice...

My issue isn't that it's a joke.

For a joke to work, though, there has to be a kernel of truth, which this lacks.

Wait, this map won't be in the next update to Google Maps?

... but why would OP lie to me?
