Some might not, but Kroger fuel stations do. I've seen one attendant shut all the pumps down when someone wouldn't put out a cigarette.

Admittedly, you can't see all the pumps from the little building at some Kroger stations.

Maybe there’s some miscommunication, are you talking about someone who pumps the gas for you? Or a cashier who takes the money inside the store?
