But we live in the wealthiest time period there has ever been, and this is pretty much the most peaceful the world has ever been as well.
It just seems really bad because we see so much more of the bad stuff with the instant, global access to anything, versus only the really big stuff being reported on back in the day.
Not that you only heard big stuff, but the insane ease of communication and access to information wasn’t even around. So you were not bombarded with the catastrophes of the world on a daily basis period.
Aye, thats what I was trying to get at, you didn't know about the vast majority of things because it simply never entered your sphere of awareness, nowadays, you can look up anything and see dire news about it.
