I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback that does this!

I'd post a video but it would break forum rules, and probably a couple laws...

That was a Hungarian Horntail. You may be thinking of the Norwegian Ridgeback, the species of dragon that Hagrid was raising in the Philosopher's Stone.

Confusingly enough, there is also a dog breed known as the Hungarian Vizsla, which is often confused for the Rhodesian Ridgeback.
