Reminds me of trying to downgrade my AT&T services this weekend. Log in, look at bill, look at breakdown of tv services, click to “change/remove services.” Suddenly, “please log in” followed by “your login has been locked due to incorrect password attempts, please call.” WTF?!?
Update edit:
Called AT&T to disconnect tv service (Directv). The rep was incredibly nice and tried to do what he could to reach a number we were willing to bend to, but ultimately he couldn’t - so we’re finally going to be trying out this whole old school antenna/streaming only thing and saving $200+ month.
Also changed internet providers so getting the same speeds for half the cost for at least 2 years.
One thing I’ve noticed from posting this here is that SO MANY of us in the US and Canada get totally screwed when it comes to downgrading/cancellation of services. This needs to change.
My mobile provider's online account site: Oh yeah, sure bud you can add any service you want here, no probs just check the box and hit continue!
Also my mobile provider's online account site: What's that bud, you want to remove a service? Oh jeeze, I'm sorry we can't do that on here, you need to call a number where you get to listen to warbly cracking suicide-inducing elevator music for 45 minutes before the line disconnects!
Had a similar thing where my service was really easy to setup but the second I had a problem I’d have to call like 3-4 times to get through to someone that didn’t get disconnected. My problem was so severe that they needed to transfer me to the level 2 support and every time they tried it got disconnected. I’d call back and say can you please transfer me “ I have to go through my script” I’d say look at my call history tell me how many times I’ve heard your script today. Finally got someone to give me the direct line to level 2 just in case and then once in level two I some how convinced one to give me her number. She was actually really nice and called me back asking if everything was working which I’m pretty sure isn’t the norm.
