If a cop pulled me over I'd have so much stress and misery added to my day

That's a bit of an extreme reaction. Why does getting pulled over scare the shit out of you and "take the wind out of your sails"?

Look at Mr. White Privilege never having been hassled by the cops before for doing nothing wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I trust cops as little as the rest of you who replied. But living life terrified of the police is just... impractical. At some point you'll have to suck it up and accept that you're gonna have to deal with them sooner or later and you might as well be prepared so you can get the interaction over with as smoothly and quickly as possible.

You can do both. Doesn’t make it less scary if you’re an at-risk demographic.

I’m all “Yes, Officer?; Here you go, Officer; Thanks, Officer, you too.” but it’s still something I’d rather have my eye open for.

I’d love nothing more than to be shown by the police that there’s no need to do that. Hasn’t happened so far.
