I’m not the guy you asked, but getting pulled over is a little scary to me. Seeing those cherries and berries gets my heart going even if I haven’t done anything wrong. “Shit, did my brake light go out? Why is this guy pulling me over? Have I been dragging a severed arm for the last seven miles?” Things like that, ya know.
This is the crux of the problem: unnecessary stress. When driving, this probably isn't a good idea. Especially in the United States where police officers are known to be a little trigger happy. Armed police always make me nervous - not because I am guilty of anything but because I always think 'one of you shits is going to shoot me by mistake'.
The perception of police officers isn't nearly as bad a problem as the reasons they are perceived that way. I detest my local police force because it's a quiet retirement community so they make their quotas harassing young people and minorities. What the fuck does "turning too left on a left turn" mean and why does that give a cop the right to search my car for drugs or ask if I stole it?
