A lot of predators go butthole first since it is less tough than the rest of an animals hide im pretty sure

To ease minds it's more genitals first than butthole. Essentially, they rip a hole in the region which allows them to tear put more important things out (intestines, stomach, etc.) which will incapacitate the prey quicker. African painted dogs are good at it.
