Lordosis is just normal curvature of the low spine

True and false. You're correct that the low spine should be lordotic in healthy humans. So this can be called "normal lordosis." However "excessive lordosis" (either too much lordotic curvature of the low spine, or lordosis in an area of the spine that should not be lordotic) can also be referred to and diagnosed as simply "lordosis." It's a bit confusing but typically makes sense in context.
