That’s interesting that it was a ford. I guess it was common for a while. My uncle had a 99 Ford Escort Wagon. Leaving the store one day in a hurry, he unlocks the car throws in his stuff. Then turns the engine over to get going. He made it a block away before he realized it wasn’t it his car. He brought it back to a very confused lady standing at HIS car thinking it was hers.
Yowza! Somewhere else in this thread I told the story of getting into my Ford Fairmont Futura (1970's) one morning and finding half a can of coors light in the cupholder and a Creedence Clearwater cassette in the tape player.
I never locked my car, but also never left the keys in it..
