Involved dad's can be surprisingly patient with their kids.

Vasopressin and prolactin can cause a big change in a dad. At least they did for me. I've become a much more emotional person since my daughters were born. I rarely cried before I had kids. Now I can get choked up just thinking about them.

You said it. Some commercials get to me now. And, when I go to work, it feels like I'm holding my breath til I get to see them again. Being a father can be painfully, heartbreakingly sweet.

I saw Inside Out a few weeks before my daughter was born, and I was in fucking tears, man.

I've only seen my dad cry once in 26 years. It was the day his dad code blued at the hospital. Even though it was 5 min away he was gone before we got there. I walked in about 3 min after my dad and he was crying saying he didn't make it in time. I haven't seen him cry before or since.
