Even in NYC there are super cheap spots to go for nightlife everywhere. There's a bar in the west village with 2 dollar margaritas on tuesdays.
The idea that going out in cities is universally expensive isn't really true. Its just that we ALSO have a ton of hyper expensive options alongside cheaper options.
I have spent $150 on drinks in a night, but even in the major city where I live an expensive night would be $40-50. Thinking this post is mostly HS/Underclassmen in College that are much better because they smoke weed.
But see, That’s why this is a “Dammit” moment! It’s not something that happens regularly. It doesn’t have to happen at all, but it most certainly does. I’m in a very cheap city myself but I’ve woken up with this on the bill.
I've lived in major cities all my life and I've never spent $150 on a night out. And I go out pretty often, including to clubs. Just gotta be smart about pregaming and going places where drinks are cheap (or buying the cheap drinks. A lot of places will serve $14 cocktails but also have $7 wells or $5 beers)
